Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum invites local artists and photographers to exhibit their work at the 2019 Festival of Friends. The event will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Laurelwood Gardens (now Laurelwood Arboretum). Individuals may submit one piece of art or photography created in or inspired by Laurelwood. The exhibit will open on September 14 at 5 pm at the Festival of Friends event at the Knippenberg Center for Education at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive West, Wayne.

Submissions will be accepted on Wednesday, September 11 between 4 pm and 6 pm at the Knippenberg Center. Artwork/photos cannot exceed 24” x 30” and must be ready to hang.
Submission donation is $10. Space is limited, and submissions will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. For additional information, send an email to info@laurelwoodarboretum.org or call 973-831-5675.
The Festival will feature hors d’oeuvres by Dawn’s Catering of Ridgewood accompanied by wine, nonalcoholic beverages, and a specially created signature drink, Laurelwood Sunset. Pianist Richard Santoro will entertain with a variety of musical favorites. A highlight of the event is a raffle that includes tickets to Hamilton and other exciting items. Raffle tickets will be on sale at the Knippenberg Center for Education, which is open Tuesdays through Sundays, noon to 4 pm.
Festival of Friends tickets are $50 per person for members of Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum, $60 per person for nonmembers, and $75 per person at the door. Tickets can be ordered online. Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum is a non-profit organization that helps preserve and manage the 30-acre arboretum in partnership with Wayne Township. Net proceeds of the event will be used to enhance Laurelwood Arboretum’s beautiful gardens and signature trees and shrubs.
