When is the arboretum open?

8 am to dusk year round, except in emergency conditions.

Is there an entrance fee?

No, but donations are always welcome.

Where can I park?

There are two parking lots, one on Vale Road and one on Pines Lake Drive West.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. Dogs must be leashed at all times and kept on the pathways. Dog waste must be carried out or placed in the appropriate receptacle in the Vale Rd parking lot.

Is the arboretum handicapped-accessible?

There are designated parking spaces and handicapped-accessible rest rooms. The Sensory Garden is designed with wide pathways that can be easily negotiated by wheelchairs.

When I get to Laurelwood, is there information about how to get around?

Brochures and maps are available at the Notice Board in the Pines Lake Dr. West parking lot. There are brochures for self-guided tours and a cell phone tour. In addition, the Knippenberg Center for Education is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 12 noon to 4 pm.
