Do you have a difficult spot in your yard you’d like to improve? Discover how perennials can thrive in challenging landscapes at a talk by Professor Brian Oleksak on Tuesday, May 20 at 5:30 PM, at the Knippenberg Center for Education at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive West in Wayne. The presentation will focus on matching perennials with problem sites such as wet areas, sunny exposed spots, dry shade, salt-damaged and other difficult areas. With practical insights into selecting “the right plant for the right place,” you’ll learn how to design a resilient home landscape.
Brian Oleksak is Associate Professor and Chair of the Landscape and Horticultural Technology Department at The County College of Morris in Randolph, New Jersey. He teaches plant identification, soil science, botany and arboriculture. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State and a Master of Science from Ohio State.
