Celebrate nature’s beauty at Laurelwood Arboretum’s Peak Bloom Weekend May 17th and 18th at 725 Pines Lake Drive in Wayne. During the two-day event, visitors can enjoy peaceful walks surrounded by majestic flowers and guided tours to learn about the renowned rhododendron collection and other unique features of Laurelwood.
Begin the weekend with a morning bird walk on Saturday, May 17th from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. Walkers meet at the Sensory Garden located near the Vale Road parking lot at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive West, Wayne. The walk will proceed even if there is light rain.
Join a free guided walking or cart tour on Saturday, May 17th or Sunday, May 18th at 10:30 am. Laurelwood Arboretum is nationally renowned for its historic collection of rhododendrons and azaleas. Learn about this treasure trove from our knowledgeable guides and see these and other plants at their finest. To join a tour, meet at the pavilion next to the Knippenberg Center for Education.
There will also be a free walking tour of the Native Habitat Garden on Saturday at 11:30 am. This environmental preserve is a habitat for native insects, birds and other pollinators. Meet at the pavilion.
