Don’t miss this year’s Earth Day celebration at Laurelwood Arboretum on April 26 from 12 noon to 4 PM. This popular event will feature fun for the entire family with tours, educational displays and information, nature crafts and art projects for children, story time for tots, nature-themed raffle items, and more. Horticulture experts will be in attendance, along with nonprofit community organizations, environmental groups, and student “green” clubs from Wayne Hills and Passaic County Technical Institute.
Our free Earth Day celebration will be held rain or shine at 725 Pines Lake Drive West in Wayne. A free shuttle service will be on hand from 12 noon to 4 pm to bring people from the Pines Lake School parking area at 511 Pines Lake Drive to the arboretum.
The theme of this year’s Earth Day is “Our Power, Our Planet.” Come celebrate with us and learn more about renewable energy sources. The Wayne event is hosted by Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum and sponsored by Glenwild Garden Center & Nursery of Bloomingdale, MBL Technology of Wayne, and Andy Beloff of Crestmont Toyota in Pompton Plains.
