How to Attract Beautiful Moths

Native Plants for Beautiful Moths will be the final program in the Gardening for Nature series sponsored by Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum.  It will be presented on Thursday, November 2 at 7 pm via Zoom.  Learn how to attract beautiful moths to your garden with native wildflowers, trees and shrubs.  Just like butterflies, the larvae of moths use native plants as hosts.  The adults of many moths can utilize the nectar of native flowers, as well.

The guest speaker for the program is Rachel Mackow of Wild Ridge Plants in Pohatcong, New Jersey. Rachel is dedicated to the restoration of native plant communities that sustain both people and wildlife.  On the farm, she manages the nursery operation.  Additionally, she is a member of the New Jersey Invasive Species Strike Team’s Technical Advisory Committee.

The fee for the two-hour program is $10 for members of Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum and $20 for nonmembers.  To resister, please go to www.laurelwoodarboretum.org
