Free hots dogs, ice cream, face painting, seed planting, tours, raffles and much more will welcome families to Laurelwood Arboretum on Sunday, June 2, from 2 to 5 pm. The arboretum is located at 725 Pines Lake Drive West in Wayne, with entrances on both Pines Lake Drive and Vale Road.
“We are inviting families to discover the best-kept secret in Wayne,” said Diane Bromberg-Stern, membership chairperson of Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum. “This is our first-ever membership-building event. We hope to welcome people who love nature to learn more about this unique oasis right in the heart of Wayne. Families can explore the arboretum’s beautiful 30 acres of winding pathways lined with colorful gardens and handsome trees. Kids can participate in the fun activities. And everyone can enjoy free hot dogs and ice cream.
We encourage people to RSVP to tell us the number of adults and children who will attend by sending an email to info@laurelwoodarboretum.org or by calling 973-831-5675. While this event is designed to attract new members, those who are already members are welcome to come and bring a non-member
