Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Bluecrop’ – Highbush blueberry is a valuable shrub with attractive, white, bell-shaped flowers in the spring, berries in June, and good fall color. It is an important pollinator plant and feeds specialist bees. Growing 6-8 feet tall in average to moist soils, it grows in full sun to part shade. It prefers acid soils such as those where hollies and rhododendrons do well. For better fruiting, plant more than one shrub. Can be used as a hedge.
