Penstemon, or beardtongue, adds lovely, white, bell-shaped flowers near eye-level where they can be best appreciated. They grow 3-5 feet tall in full to part sun, in average to dry soils. It is drought tolerant. Blooming in May to June, you will enjoy watching bees enter their bells and know that you are helping them survive! It has a clean, neat, basal rosette when not in bloom.
