Amelanchier canadensis – Serviceberry, or shadblow, is one of our lovely spring flowering trees that helps pollinators early in the season. Its lovely, white flowers appear before the tree leaves out, covering it in a white cloud. It grows in full sun to part shade in average to moist soils. It produces fruit that is attractive to birds. A multi-stemmed shrub/small tree, usually growing to 25 feet tall.
