Landscape Painters of North Jersey Exhibit at Laurelwood Arboretum

The September art exhibit at Laurelwood Arboretum will feature works by the Landscape Painters of North Jersey, a collective of women artists united by their passion for portraying the beauty of the natural world.  Their paintings explore the ever-changing effects of light on water, mountains, trees, fields, clouds, and even architectural forms.  “Our shared goal is to capture a fleeting moment in the three-dimensional world and bring it to life in oil paint on a two-dimensional canvas,” the group explains.

Landscape Painters of North Jersey will be on display from September 2 through September 29 at the arboretum’s Knippenberg Center for Education, 725 Pines Lake Drive West in Wayne.

The Opening Reception will be on Sunday, September 7 at 2:30 pm.  Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend.  For anyone who wishes to view the exhibit at another time, the Knippenberg Center is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 12 noon to 4 pm.

Landscaper Painters of North Jersey is one in a monthly series sponsored by Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum, the nonprofit organization that helps preserve and manage the 30-acre arboretum in partnership with Wayne Township.  For additional information about this exhibit or other upcoming events, go to www.laurelwoodarboretum.org or send an email to info@laurelwoodarboretum.org.
