Where Do Animals Live? Join the Hunt at Laurelwood Arboretum

It’s a habitat scavenger hunt! Discover the diversity and creativity of animal homes and habitats. at a program for children ages 6 to 9 on Tuesday, August 19 from 9:45 am to 11 am at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive West, Wayne.  From high to low and from obvious to hidden, animal homes can be unique and even gravity- defying.  Kids will discover how animals use materials from their environment to build their homes.  Then they can collect the same natural materials to create their own version of an insect hotel or small bird/animal place of refuge.

The program is limited to 20 children. Register now at laurelwoodarboretum.org. $5 per child.  A parent must stay with their child.  Children should dress for outdoor weather with appropriate footwear and clothing. Children with their own binoculars are encouraged to bring them.
