The Donate-a-Bench Program
Laurelwood Arboretum is a walker’s paradise, with its winding paths and beautiful scenery. It is also a wonderful place for visitors to sit and enjoy their surroundings. There were a few benches in the arboretum, but visitors have told us there weren’t enough. Our Donate-a-Bench program is easing this shortfall by offering an opportunity for donors to select either a beautiful hand-hewn rustic bench by artist David Robinson or a contemporary teak bench for placement in the arboretum.
There are many reasons to donate a bench—to celebrate a milestone in life, to honor a friend or to memorialize a loved one, to name just a few. Your bench will display a plaque inscribed with your tribute.

In addition to the rustic benches, there is also an opportunity to donate contemporary teak benches — at a lower cost — that will be placed near the Knippenberg Center for Education.
