More Details About the Entertainment

June 12th – Englewinds

This Eco-music woodwinds ensemble will perform their musical program, “Branching Out”, inspired by resuming life post-Covid, exploring new ideas for our planet and the way that we relate to our precious Earth. The music is written by Native composer Dawn Avery and classical composers Rimsky Korsakov, Malcolm Arnold, Eric Ewazen, Sarah Davol and others.

Focused on creating environmental and humanitarian awareness, the award-winning ensemble (founded by Sarah Davol) addresses issues such as overbuilding of wetlands, noise pollution, the need for clean drinking water, and more, through music. The members are some of New York City’s finest musicians who perform at Lincoln Center with the New York Philharmonic, Mostly Mozart, American Ballet Theater and New York City Opera, and on Broadway with Phantom of the Opera, Lion King, Liza Minnelli and many others. The ensemble has commissioned and premiered over sixty new works by living composers and performed music to address environmental issues.
