Earth Day 2024, a free community celebration, will be celebrated in Wayne at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive West on Saturday, April 27 from 12 pm to 4 pm, rain or shine. The popular event will feature fun for the entire family with tours, educational displays and information, nature crafts and art projects for children, story time for tots, nature-themed raffle items, and more. Passaic County Master Gardeners will be in attendance, along with nonprofit community organizations and environmental groups. A free shuttle service will be on hand from 12 noon to 4 pm to bring people from the Pines Lake School parking area at 511 Pines Lake Drive to the arboretum.
The theme of this year’s Earth Day is Planet vs Plastics. The Wayne event is hosted by Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum and sponsored by Glenwild Garden Center & Nursery of Bloomingdale and Bartlett Tree Experts of Denville.
