The upcoming free GreenQuest Nature Club program for students in grades 2 through 6 will be held on Wednesday, October 25 from 4 pm to 5:30 pm at the Knippenberg Center for Education at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive in Wayne. The children will participate in a spooky lesson and activity session featuring bats and spiders. They will learn about the ecological benefits of these animals and make a Halloween-themed nature craft. To register for the program, go to www.laurelwoodarboretum.org. Registration is limited to 20 students. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
The free monthly GreenQuest programs are sponsored by Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum and led by Aadhith Balaji, a senior at Wayne Hills High School. He is a member of the Wayne Hills Environmental Club and led the 2022 GreenQuest Nature Club at the Wayne Public Library.
