The upcoming free GreenQuest Nature Club program for students in grades 2 through 6 will be held on Wednesday, September 27 from 4 pm to 5:30 pm at the Knippenberg Center for Education at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive in Wayne. The children will learn about animal architects—how animals have taught us how to build homes and engineer our structures. The presentation will be followed by a craft and then a walk through Laurelwood Arboretum. To register for the program, go to www.laurelwoodarboretum.org. Registration is limited to 20 students. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
The free monthly GreenQuest programs are sponsored by Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum and led by Aadhith Balaji, a senior at Wayne Hills High School. He is a member of the Wayne Hills Environmental Club and led the 2023 GreenQuest Nature Club at the Wayne Public Library.
