The upcoming free GreenQuest Nature Club program for students in grades 2 through 6 will be held on Wednesday, August 16 from 4 pm to 5:30 pm at the Knippenberg Center for Education at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive in Wayne. The children will discover the colorful world of butterflies and learn about what makes them and other pollinators so special and important for our planet. They will also be able to explore the pollinator and native plant gardens at Laurelwood. To register for the August program, go to www.laurelwoodarboretum.org. Registration is limited to 20 students. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.
The free monthly GreenQuest programs are sponsored by Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum and led by Aadhith Balaji, a senior at Wayne Hills High School. He is a member of the Wayne Hills Environmental Club and led the 2022 GreenQuest Nature Club at the Wayne Public Library.
