Free Outdoor Concert at Laurelwood Arboretum

Saxophonist Abel Mireles and LatiNext will perform Latin jazz selections at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive in Wayne, on Thursday, August 17 at 6:30 pm during a FREE concert.  The rain date is August 31 at 6:30 pm. Parking arrangements has been made at Pines Lake School; shuttles to and from the park will be running beginning at 5:30 pm.

The concert will be held at the arboretum near the sculpture, “Robbers Roost,” located at site number one (behind the gazebo), a featured work of A Sculpture Trail.  Attendees should bring a blanket or lawn chair.  Comfortable footwear is recommended as the terrain is hilly and uneven.  A limited number of golf carts will be available to transport people with walking difficulties.  No food or alcoholic beverages are permitted.  The event will be livestreamed.  To enjoy it via Zoom register at: waynepubliclibrary.libcal.com/event/9243968

Abel Mireles is gaining a reputation as one of the most promising saxophonists of his generation across the New York metropolitan area.  He is an accomplished musician, composer, educator and entrepreneur.  Mireles received a Masters Degree in Jazz Performance from William Paterson University.
