While Spotted Lanternflies are not harmful to humans, they can severely impact crops, trees, and quality of life in areas they infest. Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum is sponsoring a workshop where participants can learn about the Spotted Lanternfly and its damaging effects on the local environment. The workshop will be led by Assistant Horticultural Manage Kay Gardiner on Tuesday, July 12th, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Knippenberg Center for Education at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive West, Wayne. Gardiner will show how to make safe Spotted Lanternfly traps to protect ornamental and hardwood trees. The workshop is free, and no registration required.
