Learn how to create a garden that buzzes with life and attracts butterflies, bees, and other pollinators at a free educational program at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive West in Wayne. The program is scheduled for Saturday, June 25th at 10 am. Master Gardener Lourdes Osorio will discuss how to improve a local ecosystem by creating a habitat designed for pollinators. She will talk about garden design, maintenance and plant selection and recommend suitable host plants and specify which pollinators they support.
Lourdes is a member of the Board of Directors of Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum, which is sponsoring the program. She is the creator of the Native Plant Channel on YouTube and Facebook, an educational channel that produces videos to help gardeners grow native plants.
