Master Gardener Rashmi Dhekne, who is also a volunteer at Laurelwood Arboretum, will discuss, “Fall Gardening: Preparing for the Spring in a Safe Way” on Wednesday, September 22, at 7:00 pm via Zoom. Dhekne will share information about how to prepare gardens for a beautiful spring display, how to select and plant bulbs and how to stay safe from ticks into the autumn months.

Rashmi Dhekne has been a Wayne resident for 22 years. She earned BA and MS degrees in zoology from the University of Pune in India. In 2021, she received her Master Gardener’s certification from Rutgers University. She is an active member of the Pines Lake Garden Club and manages their social media presence. In addition, she is a member of Pines Lake Women’s Club, Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum and the New Jersey Botanical Garden.
