Medicinal Herb Preparation Workshop at Laurelwood Arboretum

Renowned herbalist Robin Rose Bennett will lead a hands-on Medicinal Herb Preparation Workshop in the new Educational Greenhouse at Laurelwood Arboretum on Wednesday, October 7 from 3 pm to 5 pm. The arboretum is located at 725 Pines Lake Road West in Wayne. Participants will meet in the Knippenberg Center for Education.

Bennett is the founder of Wisewoman Healing Ways – Herbal Medicine and EarthSpirit Teachings. She is the author of The Gift of Healing Herbs and Healing Magic: A Green Witch Guidebook to Conscious Living.

There is nothing quite as empowering as knowing how to make your own medicines,” says Bennet. “In this class, we will work with fresh (and some dried) herbs, making several types of tinctures, liniments, oils, infusions, vinegars, syrups, salves, decoctions, poultices, compresses, fomentations…and more.”

Admission to the workshop is $15. but free for FOLA members. There is a $10 materials fee. Participants will take home their own work. Registration is required for this program. To register, please send an email to info@laurelwoodarboretum.org or call 973-202-9579.
