You will love this goldenrod! It covers itself in clusters of small, yellow flowers beloved by pollinators, providing pollen and colorful blooms at the end of the gardening season when fewer blooms are available. In addition, goldenrods support specialist bees and are keystone species, meaning they are a key part of ecosystems and the larval host plant of many lepidoptera. Wreath goldenrod is especially useful because it blooms in sun as well as in fairly shady gardens and is clump forming, not aggressive. Don’t fear planting it because myths erroneously blame goldenrod for allergies likely caused by ragweed.
