OLAOn Sunday, April 27 at 1 p.m., Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum (FOLA) will sponsor a program on Reptiles and Amphibians of New Jersey at the New Jersey Audubon Society’s Lorrimer Sanctuary, 790 Ewing Avenue, Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. The program and walk through the sanctuary will be led by teacher/naturalist Dr. Patrick Scheuer, Director.
The program is one in a series of off-site events that FOLA has planned while Laurelwood Arboretum is officially closed due to construction of the Knippenberg Center for Education. The next event will be FOLA’s Annual Spring Plant Sale, which will be cosponsored this year with the Master Gardeners Association of Passaic County and held at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 1310 Route 23 North in Wayne.
On May 18 at 2 p.m., FOLA will sponsor a program at the Wayne Public Library titled, Rhododendrons and New Jersey, Perfect Together. Dr. Al Fitzburgh, past president of the Rhododendron Society’s Tappan Zee Chapter and past president of FOLA will present the program.
