Organic Impressions: Nature’s Palette Unveiled is the theme of an exhibit of paintings by Mahwah artist Elaine Dalto.  Her work will be on view from July 2 to July 31at the Knippenberg Center for Education at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive West in Wayne.  The Opening Reception is on Sunday, July 7 at 2:30 pm.  Admission is free, and the public is invited to attend.  For anyone who wishes to view the artwork at another time, the Knippenberg Center is open Tuesdays through Sundays from 12 noon to 4 pm.

Dalto studied at the Art Students League in New York and has exhibited at several area galleries.  Her acrylic-on-canvas paintings are inspired by the natural world.   She uses bright, cheerful hues suggestive of grass, flowers, ocean and sky.  “My paintings are not literal documentations but rather embody what I feel to be the essence of nature,” she said.  “My work reflects my personal vision, and I hope to touch the viewer deeply while creating art that is beautiful.”
