Renowned herbalist Robin Rose Bennett will lead a Weed Walk through Laurelwood Arboretum,725 Pines Lake Drive West, on Thursday, September 30 from 3 pm to 5 pm. The rain date is Friday, October 1 from 3 pm to 5 pm.
Bennett will explain how to identify commonly found plants that can be used as herbal medicines or are delicious and nutritious to eat. “Common plants are our teachers,” she said. “Weeds and wild flowers show us the joyful abundance and generosity of (our true) nature. They freely share their gifts of food, medicine, beauty, and wholeness.”
Admission to the program is $5 for members of Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum and $20 for nonmembers. Admission will be $5 for anyone who joins when registering. To register, please go to www.laurelwoodarboretum.org
