Local artist Nancy Rogers will exhibit her work at the Knippenberg Center for Education at Laurelwood Arboretum, 725 Pines Lake Drive West in Wayne, from August 12th through September 3rd. She will host an Artist’s Reception from 1 pm to 4 pm on Sunday, August 19th with refreshments and live music.
“Bring your friends and family, and be sure to leave time to stroll around the beautiful gardens where I’ve done many of my paintings,” said Nancy. “What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon?”
You can enjoy Nancy’s paintings any day from August 12th through Labor Day. The Knippenberg Center gallery is open from 12 pm to 4 pm Tuesdays through Sundays. The arboretum is open from 8 am to sunset every day.
Nancy is a lifelong resident of Wayne. Her work includes oils, acrylics and pastels painted en plein air and from her own photographs. Nancy has been painting in Laurelwood for more than 40 years. This year’s special exhibit will highlight the beauty of Laurelwood Arboretum, as well as several other local treasures.
Although Nancy has traveled all around the United States, Canada, Europe and beyond, paintbrush in hand, she finds some of her very best subjects right in her hometown. She also teaches, conducts workshops and exhibits in New Jersey and Florida.
