Steve Alexander and the Jazz Generation will perform in the Knippenberg Center for Education at Laurelwood Arboretum on Sunday, August 6 at 4 pm. The requested donation is $15 for adults and $4 for children ages 6 to 18. The arboretum is located at 725 Pines Lake Drive West in Wayne.
This popular trio features Steve Alexander playing jazz piano; Paul Grabow on saxophone, clarinet and flute; and Jesus Salinas on bass. They have been playing together for 25 years at many venues in the tristate area. The trio will perform traditional jazz favorites from the American Songbook including selections by Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Count Basie and more. The audience will be encouraged to sing along with some of their favorite tunes.
The concert is sponsored by Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum and the Ira A. Roschelle, MD Family Foundation. All donations will go toward educational programs and community activities at Laurelwood.
