PUBLIC RELATIONS PERSON needed who can help promote Laurelwood Arboretum through various outreach and public relations efforts.


Volunteer Opportunities 2010

Volunteering allows you to use your skills, acquire new ones, make friends, provide a valuable service to the community and have fun.

ON-SITE OPPORTUNITIES
Meet in the pavilion 9am – 11:30am April - October

FOLA volunteers

TUESDAYS Work/learn alongside the Horticultural Manager and other volunteers restoring and improving specific gardens.

2nd SATURDAY OF THE MONTH Work in “most needed areas” – a tradition started in the 1980’s with Dorothy Knippenberg.

4th SATURDAY OF THE MONTH Work/learn as part of the Laurelwood Arboretum Plant Identification Project.

LAND MAINTENANCE PROJECTS Work/learn alongside the Site Manager and other volunteers to improve drainage and infrastructure.

Bring along your friends, family and co-workers too!

We also have project ideas for corporate, church, scout, and school groups.
