Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum (FOLA) is a community-based non-profit volunteer organization for Laurelwood Arboretum. We welcome you to use your talents and skills. Volunteering is a great fun learning experience. So come make a difference at the Arboretum.
ON-SITE OPPORTUNITIES
Meet in the pavilion, 9 – 11:30 a.m., April – October
TUESDAYS: Work/learn alongside the Horticultural Manager and other volunteers restoring and improving specific gardens.
1st SATURDAY OF THE MONTH: Work in “most needed areas” — a tradition started in the 1980’s with Dorothy Knippenberg.
LAND MAINTENANCE PROJECTS: Work/learn alongside the Site Manager and other volunteers to improve drainage and infrastructure.
JOIN A COMMITTEE: Opportunities exist in membership, fundraising, plant ID, and education.
Bring along your friends, family and co-workers too!
We also have project ideas for corporate, church, scout, and school groups.
Groups must call to schedule visits.
